I am LOVING our new artists' small group we started at NNHS. I am passionate about getting people in small groups, because I truly think it is the best way for people to find community and move forward in their spiritual journey. (Plus, as a super extrovert, it is like a party EVERY WEEK!) So BT and our NNHS Arts Leaders decided we are going to get every single artist at NNHS grouped.
We started a Friday night small group in the middle of June (which breaks pretty much every small group starting rule). After four weeks, we have had 27 people attend our "small" group!
Here is a super hi-res picture from my camera phone of part of our group at Girordano's last Friday night.
I will try and write a post this week on what I have learned about grouping artists. The benefits are huge; our teams are closer, many more people feel "included" and I just love the people i get to work with.
Way to go! Let me know how this goes... would love to know how artists and community go together.
